Are you ready to be changed?

Ready to reconnect with God?

Ready to have some fun?

Curious about the details?

There is absolutely no life like camp life!  If you come work for us, you’ll find out why.   Our intern program has been around for over 20 years.  We hope that this summer will be the best one yet.  Lifelong friends are made here.  So are leaders.  Past interns have gone on to be pastors, camp counselors and directors, college chaplains, missionaries, social workers, regional ministers, leaders in their chosen fields, CCC full-time employees, gifted lay leaders in the Church, and more.  We promise to help make you the best leader you can be so that you can go on and do the amazing things God is dreaming up for you.  Are you up for the challenge?

Let's be honest... life after high school isn't always the easiest time in your life to grow in your faith.  Recent high school graduates often say they feel farther from God than ever.  If that's true for you, think what an entire summer on Holy Ground can do for you.  Spend your mornings listening to our amazing keynoters and learning new prayer practices.  Spend your nights worshipping around the campfire.  Spend 1 afternoon a week in conversation with mentors and your fellow interns.  Take one week to be a cabin counselor to give back to the next generation (this part is optional).  Our internship isn't just about serving others.  It's also about growing in your faith or rekindling the spark of faith inside you!

Life as an intern isn't all work.  We take one night off each week to go off campus to be together as a team.  Those nights off include road trips looking for the best ice cream in Central Iowa, eating at local restaurants, the Newton drive-in theater, bowling, and more.  We also take our own adventures around the camp, enjoying all the grounds has to offer when campers aren't keeping us busy.

  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

  • You will be paid $4000, plus room and board.

  • Up to 5 days of time off can be worked out in advance.

  • If you choose to be lifeguard certified, you will be paid an additional $500 (and we will pay for your certification).

  • Move-in begins at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, May 30th, 2023.  Our end date is August 12, 2023 but this is flexible.

  • Most weeks you will be off work after clean up on Saturday until Sunday evening.

  • You will be on call a few nights a week assist directors with evening programming and/or worship and will work one weekend camp (Family Camp or Grand Camp).

  • You will also be able to participate in a spiritual retreat for interns at the beginning of the season.

  • It takes a lot to run a camp, including: grounds maintenance, kitchen work, registration paperwork, plus the typical fun and games associated with camp.  You will be involved in all of it!

  • You will have many opportunities for your own spiritual growth, including: conversations with mentors, prayer groups, Bible study, worship and more.

  • We will also have one fun night out each week for the CCC staff to relax and recharge.

If you think you’re up for this once in a lifetime challenge, please complete the online application by March 15, 2023 at 5:00 PM.  Questions can be directed to Rev. Tiff Williams.  Click below to apply.
